Murray Lawrence Wade, age 75 of Hudson, Florida “did it his way†on November 9, 2018 after an eight-month battle with cancer. He was born to Stanley and Glenna Wade on August 13, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio, the second of four children. In the late 70’s he founded Long & Associates, an advertising art agency, in Dayton, Ohio. In the mid 80’s he founded Murray’s Place Restaurant & Bar in Kettering, Ohio. On June 15, 2002 Murray married Diana Wist-Reed. After retirement in 2008, he spent his days with family and friends, living by the water in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Florida, riding motorcycles, driving boats, entertaining, and remodeling houses. Projects are what got him up in the morning, even up until the last week of his life. Murray is survived by his wife Diana; sons Doug (Sandy), Dave; daughters Jen (Chris) England, Carli (Jake) Reed-Braun; grandchildren Leah (Rob) Myers, Sam (Jess) Wade, Esther (Jason) Laveck, Josh Wade, Libby Wade, Joe Wade, and Alex Braun. Great grandchildren: Robbie, Addison, Ava, Brayden, Ezra, Suzy, and Astrid. Brother Chuck (Julia) Wade, several nephews and his favorite niece. Murray was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Glenna Wade, sister Louise Nagel, brother Ray Wade, and faithful companion, “good boy†Tucker. A celebration of life service will be held at Hudson Beach on November 16, 2018 at 5 p.m. A second celebration of life service will be held in Dayton, Ohio at a later date.
