Myrtle Elizabeth Hogan joined her savior Jesus Christ at Sunrise on Friday, November 13, 2020. Myrtle was born to George and Rosa McCall on January 8, 1931 in Live Oak, Florida, then relocated to Clearwater in 1943 where Myrtle attended local schools, graduating from Clearwater High School, Class of 1948. She was married to Elwood Hogan Jr. on June 15, 1957. After marriage, Myrtle devoted her life as a wife and mother. Myrtle accepted the Lord Jesus as her savior in her teens under the tutelage of her parents and Dr. O.E. Burton, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. Myrtle was a charter member of the Clearwater Community Woman's Club; She actively supported her husband in several religious, civic and community projects including serving as the “First Lady” of The Florida District of Kiwanis from 1979-80. Surviving Myrtle is her husband, Elwood Hogan Jr; children, Martha Hogan Ondrejcak (Don), Darrell William Hogan; and grandson Don Ondrejcak Jr. Preceded in death by her parents George and Rosa McCall; brothers Clarence and Ernest; sister Elsie. A private family service was held on November 19, 2020 presided by Rev. Doug Burton.

My condolences to Elwood, Don and Martha Ondrejcak and Don Jr. Myrtle was a lovely, sweet, pretty woman who was always a pleasure to be with. I retired 4 1/2 years ago but there are patients that will always be remembered, and Myrtle was definitely one of them.
