Nicholas Edward Friduss, 88 years of age, of Tampa, Florida passed away peacefully on May 1, 2020.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois on 1/8/1932 He is preceded in death by his loving wife Carolyn of 48 years and his son David (53) . Nicholas joined the Navy after High School and was a member of the Navy Patrol Squadron 8. After his tour in the United States Navy, Nicholas graduated from Paul Smiths College in Saranac, New York and also the Fairleigh Dickenson College in New Jersey. Nicholas went on to have career with IBM for over thirty years in the logistic department. Nicholas enjoy snow skiing, car shows especially showing his old jeep willy's, firing range and a good cigar from time to time. Nicholas passion was the Stanford Volunteer Fire Department, in Stanfordville, New York. where he spent his time volunteering. He also enjoyed many years of community service with the Stanford Ski Committee raising money and building a local community ski slope. Nicholas is survived by his sons Steven, Michael, Grandson, Michael II, (all of Tampa, Florida) Granddaughter Amy, of Rochester, New York and many longtime friends. Funeral arrangements are private. In leu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Stanford Volunteer Fire Department in Stanfordville, New York.
