Richard W. Poole

October 05, 1945~April 12, 2026

On Sunday, April 12th, 2026, the love of my life went home to be with Jesus. I am so grateful he loved the Lord with all his heart and his family unconditionally. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he coached boys’ basketball and loved playing dominos and cards. He worked at Ford Motor Company for 31 years and was able to enjoy his retirement for 26 years.

Rick was a member of Calvary Chapel Worship Center. He served our country during the Vietnam War and was blessed with the opportunity to go on the Honor Flight in May of 2024. Rick was so proud to be honored when arriving home by all the people waiting to greet them.

He is survived by his loving wife Sharon of 42 years. He had three children – Bobby, Betty and Simon; and his daughter-in-law Danielle. He loved his grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A ceremony for Rick will be held at Florida National Cemetery at 11:15 am on Friday, May 1st, 2026.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Richard. He was my uncle. My father was Donnie. Our family wasn’t close. When my parents split up I lost touch with everyone. Again so sorry for your loss and the loss of everyone who knew him.
