Robert E. Pendland

February 15, 1930~April 06, 2024

Robert Elmer Pendland, of New Port Ritchey, Florida, sadly left us on April 6th, 2024. He was born in 1930 and celebrated his 94th birthday in February. His family moved from Strasburg, Ohio, to Florida when he was five years old. In 1954, our dad built the house where our mom still resides today. They were married for 74 wonderful years. Robert, along with his brother Eddie, opened their own business called Eddie‘s Floor and Wall Coverings. He later operated a handyman business up until he fully retired in 2023. Our dad loved his work, his clients loved him and his sense of humor.

Our dad was quite the jokester. He loved going to his home at the Withlacoochee River, fishing on his pontoon boat and swimming. He also enjoyed socializing with friends at the Marine, VFW and Eagles Clubs. He leaves behind surviving members of his family: his wife, Gloria Pendland; two sons Ronnie and Jeff Pendland; and his daughter Bobbie Pendland. Sadly, his daughter Linda Pendland Danforth preceded our father‘s death in 2018.

Our dad passed peacefully at Gulfside Center for Hospice Care at Heather Hill in New Port Richey. The staff was wonderful to him and our family. We thank them for everything. At our father’s request, there will be no service/memorial.

We love and miss you dad today and always and sweet dreams.

I’m so sorry to hear of Uncle Bobby’s passing. I am sure you are filled with grief, however your wonderful lifetime of memories memories will outweigh that in some time. I pray you can looks back and remember all of your good times, fond memories, and loving recollections and those and time will heal the hole in your hearts and lives.

I still however miss his brother Eddie, who was my Papa, and it has been 43 years. But not as deeply as when it first happened.

Take care of each other through this time of grief and sadness.
