SPC Robert M. Dufina died of injuries sustained on December 18th on SR195 near Georgetown, TX when a driver struck his vehicle on the way to his duty station. Robert was part of the 3rd Cavalry Regiment at Ft. Hood where he served as a combat medic. Before enlisting in the Army, Robert graduated from St. Petersburg College and joined SunStar as an EMT. He then attended Firefighting school, became certified and was employed by Sumter County FL as a Firefighter/EMT. Robert graduated from Dunedin High school where he was a four-letter athlete and captain on the varsity football team. Robert was an Eagle Scout with Troop Ten in Dunedin. He is survived by his wife Lauren Rauh, parents John & Cecelia Smith, step brothers Nicholas and Christopher Smith.
