August 17, 1942~December 11, 2025

Sandra Lee Latimer, 83, of New Port Richey, FL, passed away peacefully and entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

A native of New Castle, PA, Sandy was a graduate of the very first class of Neshannock High School in 1960. She worked as a Bank Teller while living in Milford, MI, prior to relocating back to New Castle, PA, where she held various positions at Peoples Bank, and ultimately retired from the former Bell Atlantic, now Verizon, in New Castle. Of all her jobs, the one she loved most was being a mother to her three children, and her greatest joy on earth was being a grandmother to her four grandchildren.

Sandy was preceded in death by her mother, Lucile L. (Charles “Bud”) Wise and her father, Jack R. Carroll. She is survived by her brother Dan (Linda) Carroll of Palmetto, GA; son Donald L. Latimer of New Port Richey, FL, daughter Terri Jo (Dave) Treloar of New Port Richey, FL, son Brett (Tonia) Latimer of New Castle, PA; grandsons Dyllan Latimer, David Treloar, Jacob Treloar, and granddaughter Kasie (Bryce) Sullivan. Sandy was very much looking forward to becoming a great-grandmother in January and adding another granddaughter, Casey Hesselbirg, to her family in December 2026.

Sandy’s faith in Jesus Christ was the most important thing to her, and she loved to share that with others. She served faithfully in church for many years in various children’s ministry capacities. She was a member of SonRise Community Church in New Port Richey, FL, where there will be a Celebration of Life in January.

God bless your family sorry to hear of Sandy’s passing. I haven’t heard the name Dan Carroll since 1970. Danny and I graduated together. May God bless rest in peace. Chip from Newcastle PA, former neighbor of Sandy.

I met Donny’s Mom aka Mrs Latimer, if I recall correctly in 2nd grade. She was always so nice and our families became quick friends. Between softball and other police dept. events I would see Sandy through out my childhood in Milford.
Good memories to keep close.
I’m so very sorry for your loss. Sending you and your families my condolences.

Sandy was a precious kind soul. At Peoples Bank, where we met, she was a friend to everyone. Her laughter was contagious and made us all smile and laugh with her. She will be missed, but we will celebrate with her and Jesus some day.

My deepest condolences to the whole family. Sandy’s mom and my mom were best friends for years!! How blessed we were to “hang out” with the Carrolls for so long in New Castle! Sandy was always one of the kindest, sweetest people I’ve ever known. I will miss her. I do miss her. Until we meet again, I’m certain her family truly knows what an awesome person she was/is!🙏💞

Sandy (G-mom) was the first person I remember when I started going to Riverside back in 2006. She was sitting in the nursery wing & always had sour or regular gummy lifesavers waiting for the workers or kids. She always treated me like her own granddaughter & always made sure I knew I was valued & seen. She was so kind, and had a heart of gold. When she said she was praying for you, she meant it. She will truly be missed. 💕

Sandy, I and our families were friends for years. Even though we hadn’t seen each other for nearly ten years, that bond was just as strong as ever. She was such an inspiration to so many. She faced numerous health issues in her life, yet she never let them affect her joy! She was such an uplifting person to be around! Our family will cherish the memories and love we shared. I will miss you my forever friend! 💕
