Sarah Elizabeth Sims Hart, known to those close to her as SE, passed away on August 23, 2026, in Hernando, Florida, at the age of 36. She was born on July 17, 1990, in Brooksville, Florida, to Cynthia Diane Johnson and Michael Timothy Sims.

SE grew up in Brooksville, where her love of horses shaped her early years. She was a bright and curious soul who found joy in reading and learning, always eager to expand her understanding of the world around her. In 2008, she graduated with honors from Hernando High School, a reflection of her dedication and intelligence.

Throughout her life, SE had a gift for connecting with others, particularly those navigating medical challenges similar to her own. She found purpose and strength in helping others through their difficult journeys, offering both her time and compassion to those who needed it most. This became especially meaningful to her as the years went on, grounding her and giving her days a sense of deep meaning.

SE is survived by her beloved son, Lakai Alexander Hart; her mother Cindy Diane Johnson and father Michael Timothy Sims; her sister, Anna Katherine Harrison, and brother-in-law, Ryan Harrison; her Uncle Chad Sims; and
Grandfather, Joe Sims; her grandmothers Eloise Harris and Betty Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Sam A Johnson III; her grandmother, Sarah Sims; and her grandfather David Harris.  Together with her cherished pets Tux  and Bama, who will be waiting there for her on the other side.
Visitation for Florida friends and family will be Thursday, August 27th from 6-8pm at Dobies Funeral Home in Hudson, Fl and graveside service will be 11am Saturday, August 29th at Ocilla Cemetery, Ocilla, Ga..
