May 17, 1951~November 12, 2020

69, of Tarpon Springs passed away November 12, 2020. Survived by wife, Lynn; sons, Scott and Ross; brother, John Johnson. Preceded in death by brothers George and Randy Campbell.

He was a multi-talented hobbyist who engaged in many activities, most recently high-powered rocketry, watercolor painting, and radio-controlled aircraft. By day he loved kayak fishing, riding his Bergman scooter, and growing his own variety of hot peppers in tribute to a love of all things hot sauce related; by night he enjoyed dominating Jeopardy and listening to classic rock. Daily crosswords and sudoku puzzles crumbled to his mental prowess.

In the mid-1970s he served his country with a six-year term in the United States Navy as an Electronics Technician (Radar), reaching Petty Officer Second Class. During this tour he spent time at the Naval Weather Service Facility in Jacksonville, on submarines, and in Cuba culminating in an honorable discharge in 1977.

As the first in his family to receive a college degree (BS from Cleveland State University in Computer Science with a minor in theoretical mathematics), he went on to a long career in systems administration and information technology for hospital systems and independent companies alike.
