Thomas Coolidge, 68, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on August 14th, 2025 after a long battle with cancer.

Born April 16th, 1957 in Watertown, NY.  Attended schools in Watertown until he enlisted in the Marines.  After the Marines he worked with Mentally Challenged Adults in various group homes. After relocating to Florida, he continued this work before training and becoming a Commercial Electrician. When he was forced to retire because of heart issues, he devoted his life to animals. Every animal Tom encountered always had food, water and love!

He was predeceased by his parents George and Betty Coolidge and brothers James and Douglas.

He is survived by his life partner of 30 years, Susan Lafiria and sister and brother-in-law June and Donald Hawn.  Sister-in-laws Tracy Coolidge and Debbie Coolidge.

Also survived by Step-daughter Jeanne Krapfl “The Princess”, step-grandsons Bryson and Brayden and Partner’s parents Roger, Betty Lafiria and siblings Theresa Hubbard and Gene Lafiria.

Also survived by his nephews James, Christopher, Patrick, Jeremy, Jason, Shawn Coolidge, and Dennis Hawn. His niece Tracey Wilke. Also survived by several great-nephews and great-nieces.

Also survived by his dogs Jack, Buddy and Guy and many cats and raccoons.

Tom always was there for everyone. Family and friends always knew he would be there in a heartbeat if they needed him. He was loved and adored by all and will be greatly missed.

Memorial Service at National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL to be announced at a later date.
