Thomas Kelly was born on January 7, 1964 in Galway, Ireland. The family moved to Ossining, NY when he was an infant. Tom attended St. Augustine School and Ossining High School, graduating in 1982. He graduated from Westchester Community College in 1984.
Tom enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, and playing the bass and guitar. He possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of heavy metal. Tom also loved horror and monster media and instilled a deep love of Godzilla and King Kong into his children. Tom worked for many years at Rocky’s Deli in Millwood, NY, before moving to Florida in 2010.
What made Tom special wasn’t just what he loved, but how he loved. He kept things positive no matter the circumstance. He had a way of softening the edges, and reminding everyone that life is better when you choose grace. He loved his family deeply, cherished his cousins, and always chose kindness. Music was his joy, and he shared that joy generously. Even in difficult moments, Tom kept things positive and saw the good in people. His spirit was gentle, loyal, and full of grace.
He passed away August 7, 2026. Tom is predeceased by his grandparents, his parents Ann and Brian Kelly, and his brother Mark Kelly. He is survived by his partner Thelma Christine Crawford, his sons Aaron and Logan Kelly, and his brother Keith Kelly. He will be missed by his enormous family and many friends.
