Thomas “TJ” Acklin, 47, of Holiday, Florida, passed away on October 21st, 2025. He is survived by his wife Samantha Acklin; nine children; siblings Stephen Acklin, Nelda Acklin and Cassandra Hillis; as well as several nieces and nephews

It has taken every piece of me to write this, to share this horrible news. On Tuesday, October the 21st. My best friend, the love of my life, the complete other half of me, Thomas Acklin went to be with the lord.
As everyone who got to know him, knew him to be the best friend you could ask for. If you called on him he’d be there in a heartbeat. He knew more things than a damn 99 year old man, and if he couldn’t fix it he’d damn sure would figure it out.
He is very special to my heart and got me thru so many obstacles of life holding my hand and telling me I could do anything. So many things baby I wouldn’t have been able to have lived through without you. YOU SAVED MY LIFE.
First and foremost he was an awesome father and father figure to my kids and the best husband for me. TJ Is my best friend. You were an amazing best friend, an easy ear to listen when I needed it. TJ had a lot of demons, more than one person could’ve handled or deserved. But when he loves me, he loves me so hard. Loved me for me and just as I am. TJ, Mommy loves you to the moon and back and back a billion times over baby. You’ll forever own my heart and I’ll forever make sure your legacy lives on.
I love you forever, forever your Wife, forever always. There won’t be a day I won’t think of you, love you and miss you. I wish things were different. I’ll see you again one day baby.
