Tina Louise Atkinson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on May 9, 1962, in Ohio, Tina was born a Hodgkiss to Pauline Toni Bondi and Robert “Bob” Wayne Hodgkiss. She grew up alongside her sister, Eva, and her brothers, Robert “Robbie” Jr., Jeff, Donald, and Timothy.

At a young age, Tina moved with her family from the Sandusky/Cleveland area of Ohio to Clearwater, Florida. Over the years, Florida remained an important part of her story, and she made her home in several communities, including Moon Lake, New Port Richey, Griffin Park, and Hudson. Tina’s life eventually took her to Georgia, where what began as a vacation became something much greater—a lifelong commitment to marriage, family, and love.

Tina was the beloved wife of Terry Lew Atkinson of Tarpon Springs, Florida, with whom she shared nearly 47 years of marriage. Together, they shared a lifetime of memories, challenges, laughter, and love, and built a family that was the center of Tina’s world.

Tina is survived by her husband, Terry Lew Atkinson, age 65; her four children, Tracy Louise Atkinson, age 46, of Albany, Georgia; Tony Lew Atkinson, age 44, of Albany, Georgia; Timothy Lamar Atkinson, age 43, of Albany, Georgia; and Tiffany Lee Atkinson, age 38. She was also a proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Caitlyn Raygan Colecio, age 21, daughter of Tracy; Tony Lew Atkinson Jr., age 18, son of Tony; Jhensin Dyce Eatmon, who passed away at the age of 1, son of Tiffany; Ayrabelle Jay-Lee Eatmon, age 10, daughter of Tiffany; and Keysin Fayth Atkinson, age 8, daughter of Tiffany.

To those who knew Tina, she was much more than the roles of wife, mother, and grandmother. She was vibrant, determined, passionate, and a fighter. Tina never gave up easily. Throughout her life, she fought for the people and things she believed in. She stood her ground, spoke her mind, and refused to simply relent when something mattered to her. Her strength was unmistakable, and those who loved her knew that when Tina cared about something, she cared with her whole heart.

Tina had a beautiful and unique way of finding meaning in the world around her. She loved symbolism and was always searching for signs and little reminders that life was speaking to her. She collected feathers, unusual and oddly shaped rocks, and anything else that caught her eye because it stood out to her for a reason. Her favorite flowers were daisies and tulips, fitting symbols for a woman who found beauty and meaning in the simplest things.

Perhaps one of the most meaningful symbols in Tina’s life was found within her own family. Her husband and all four of her children share her initials, TLA. To Tina, those three letters meant “True Love Always.” It was more than a coincidence to her; it was a symbol of the bond she shared with the family she loved so deeply. It was a reminder that, no matter what life brought, her love for them would always remain.

Tina’s greatest legacy will not be found in possessions or places, but in the people she loved, the lives she touched, the lessons she taught, and especially in the hearts of her grandchildren. Her absence will be deeply felt by her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and countless friends who had the privilege of knowing her.

There will be moments when a feather appears in an unexpected place, when an unusual rock catches someone’s eye, or when daisies and tulips bloom. In those moments, perhaps those who loved Tina will remember the woman who always believed there was a sign waiting to be found.

Tina Louise Atkinson lived a life marked by love, perseverance, family, and an unwavering spirit. She fought hard, loved deeply, and never gave up. Though her physical presence is gone, the love she gave will continue through her family and all those whose lives she touched.
