Virginia “Ginny” Cubley, 76, of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026.
Born on September 17, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio, Ginny was the beloved daughter of Walter and Betsy Pollitz. She graduated from St. Petersburg High School and enjoyed a distinguished career with Verizon Communications. Over the course of more than two decades, she rose from her early role as a telephone operator to become a Director before retiring. She was widely respected for her work ethic, dedication, leadership and the lasting friendships she built throughout her career.
Ginny was loved by all who knew her and will be remembered for her generosity, vivacious personality and unwavering strength and resilience, particularly in the later years of her life. She had a special passion for serving the homeless and those in need and was a devoted member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church. Her greatest joy was her family and spending time with them, especially during her favorite holiday, Christmas.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lee Cubley; her children, Beverly, Jonathan and Chris; and her grandchildren: Jake, Skye, Keen, Kade, Raelynn, Kaydence, Abigail and Caroline. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Betsy Pollitz.
A memorial service will be held at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 2:00PM. Interment will follow the service.

Our term of endearment “kissin cousins” will forever be my thoughts of my friend and cousin. Even though our lives were many miles apart we never lost our connection to our much younger days. Only to meet again one day on the other side.
Lee you chose a beautiful picture of Ginny. We all will continue to miss her smiling friendly face, but will hang on to the precious memories she gave each of us.
